Deer fencing

Deer fencing requires very tall posts driven to great depths, providing a solid fence which is too high for deer to scale. We normally drive posts using a tractor mounted banger or set them in by hand, however as you can see from the image we sometimes have to resort to more drastic measures. Rest assured, we’ve not been beaten by a fence yet!

High quality, durable fencing

We like our fences to be robust and last as long as possible. We use traditional fencing techniques to ensure the strain is maintained. By making sure the fence structure isn’t compromised keeps your livestock safe and secure. Contact our team in Exeter for more information.

Fencing for fowl

Pheasant and fowl rearing pens can be constructed using similar techniques to the larger deer fencing. Here we’ve used wooden struts and high tensile wire to provide the fence strength and support.

Barbed Wire Fencing

Typically used in agriculture for stock retention i.e. cattle (2 strands is adequate) and sheep (4 strands), but not horses, this fence provides a lower cost solution to stock netting. Very useful where hedge conservation is desired and for fencing that’s adjacent to waterways, as it allows the flood water to move through easily.

Barbed wire comes as eith high tensile or mild steel. Farmers tend to prefer mild steel, which is also cheaper and easier to work with, although high tensile offers increased life span and will maintain it’s tension for longer. If you need help choosing the right fencing for your farm, contact D. B. Fencing Contractors today.
